Easter fun in 2nd Class

Thanks to the PA and 6th Class for organising the East Egg Hunt for us. We had great fun collecting our eggs and even got a photo with the Easter Bunny! Afterwards, we enjoyed some Easter crafts, ipads and Lego, before heading home for our Easter Holidays!

2nd Class had a fantastic World Book Day! Our photo was put in the local paper! We enjoyed a lovely assembly and had a wonderful time choosing books at the book fair and having extra reading time to enjoy them afterwards. February in 2nd Class

2nd Class enjoyed making St. Brigid’s Day crosses and welcoming their special Grandparents to their classroom this month.

December Science

December saw 2nd class testing, in Science, which material was the best insulator. We found that fleece, sponge and cotton pads were the most successful insulators and created our own Santa suits with this information in mind to keep him warm on Christmas Eve.

This month we worked extremely hard, learning how to French knit. We created amazing knitted Christmas wreaths. We’re so proud of what we can do!
