December Science

December saw 2nd class testing, in Science, which material was the best insulator. We found that fleece, sponge and cotton pads were the most successful insulators and created our own Santa suits with this information in mind to keep him warm on Christmas Eve.

This month we worked extremely hard, learning how to French knit. We created amazing knitted Christmas wreaths. We’re so proud of what we can do!

A great start!

This week 2nd class learned about 3-D shapes, which shapes have curves, straight edges and how many faces.

Swimming Success

September in 2nd Class

September saw us exploring the outdoors, creating a senses tree using items we found on our sense walk. We created Artwork using recycled paper. We also created portraits of ourselves.

October in 2nd Class – Space Month

October saw us investigating the theme Space. We created rockets in Science/Art, painted the solar system, researched different planets, created our own imaginary planets and persuaded each other that our imaginary planet was the best one to visit.
